Without sales there is no business and its very simple and very common to starting any sort of pitch or presentation by talking about your own business rather than the customer’s business.
It’s really not about you – it’s about them!!
Try starting with your understanding of their needs, then an overview of the benefits (not the features) of your product or service – that should engage them as you are talking about solving their problem.
Next tell them just a little about your business, then your product or service and move on to any details or technical specifications. Finish with a summary of why they should accept your solution to whatever the issue is.
It is simple – but does work.
